Claw Foot Table

A beautiful piece but was in seriously sad shape.  The client just wanted it painted white, but I did end up doing some minor repair to the top and base before finishing in the requested color.

Two coats of custom-mixed chalk paint, sealed with clear wax.  It turned out fabulous and the client was thrilled.

Lingerie Chest

This lingerie chest was a horrible pink color when I got it. There were many layers of paint applied.  In the latest layer, someone tried to cover a bright red paint with a heavy coat of white latex... it didn't work.  What a mess!

I spent a couple of days just getting the old paint off of all those wonderful beads, picking the paint from the crevices between the beads like a dental hygenist.  Then painted the interior a flat white, the exterior a slate blue.  The end result... beautiful!

Cedar Hope Chest

This cedar chest belonged to my client's mother.  It was originally stained brown and varnished.  Someone painted over the original finish, an ugly green, and then applied a brown glaze, and put stickers on it.  Ugh!

I sanded the top down to the wood veneer, which had a really pretty grain, so I stained the top a custom color, and then semi-gloss poly. The bottom I painted to match a different piece that I had already completed for this customer.  Phew!
